At PipeOps, our mission has always been clear; to simplify cloud infrastructure management for businesses of all sizes.
Today, we’re taking another step toward that goal by introducing updates to how PipeOps workspaces are structured. As we continue to gain deeper insights into the challenges businesses face, we remain committed to evolving PipeOps to better address these needs.
In this blog, we’ll walk you through the latest updates to PipeOps’ subscription tiers and pricing, explaining what’s new, why we made these changes, and how they benefit you.
Update to Subscription Tiers
Since the launch of our Nova servers in 2024, subscriptions have been split into 2 basic categories, Nova – which provides deployment-ready servers at varying resource classes, like the “Nova Sapa” plan, and Cloud provider – which allows businesses to connect and deploy to cloud providers like AWS seamlessly from the PipeOps dashboard.
Unfortunately, this meant businesses that wanted the affordability of Nova but also the flexibility of their own cloud provider had to create multiple subscriptions, making it harder to streamline their workflow and defeating our goal of convenience and affordability. To fix this issue we introduced a free cloud provider tier The Accelerate plan but this was only a temporary fix.
To better cater to the unique needs of various businesses, we are introducing 3 new subscription tiers
- Grow
- Scale
- Custom
What’s new with these tiers?
- One plan for all your servers:
Your subscription will no longer be based on the servers you create, this means you can now create, migrate or delete servers across Nova and other providers with no effect on your subscription cost. - Deploy to Nova or connect your provider:
With these new tiers, you get the flexibility to create a Nova server or connect a cloud provider whenever you want to, all in one plan. This means your monthly bill remains the same no matter where your server is hosted or how many servers you create. - No resource classes:
Unlike the old tiers your servers will not be created based on a fixed resource class, this means you will no longer be limited by the server resources, servers will now be limited only by the rules you set. This makes it easier to adjust your server scaling rules to fit your needs per time and eliminate failed deployments due to exhausted resources. - Simplified billing:
Billing on the new plan is now significantly easy to track and understand. User will now pay a monthly subscription fee to access the PipeOps platform and the total cost of their cloud usage at the end of each billing cycle. This means you will only be billed for resources you use no matter the number of servers you create.
Usage-Based Pricing
We’re making a major shift to a usage-based model to permanently resolve the issues mentioned above and ensure fair, transparent billing. With this new approach, you’ll only be billed for your actual cloud usage at the end of each month, no more, no less.
A closer look at pricing on the new tiers
Users get a 14-day trial upon signing up, and after this period, they will be required to activate a subscription. With an active subscription, you can create servers on Nova or connect a cloud provider.
The new subscription tiers:
- Growth Tier ($10/user/month):
The Growth Tier is suitable for individual developers and startups with small teams (up to 4 members). At $10 per user per month, it offers access to essential PipeOps features ideal for building and managing your projects efficiently.
Subscribers can create multiple servers on PipeOps Nova, and get a $5 monthly usage credit, as well as create one server through a connected cloud provider. This plan is perfect for early – mid stage teams.
- Scale Tier ($150/month):
The Scale Tier is designed for growing teams that require advanced features and greater resources. At $150 per month, it includes up to five free team seats (additional seats available for purchase). Subscribers can create multiple servers on PipeOps Nova, and get a $50 monthly usage credit, and also create servers on up to five connected cloud providers. Servers on PipeOps
Servers are at the core of everything you do on PipeOps, this is where your projects will be hosted. You can create a server on PipeOps either via PipeOps Nova or by connecting a supported cloud provider.
Create a Nova Server: Your servers will be created by PipeOps on any supported cloud providers of your choice and you will be billed for resources based on usage at the end of your billing cycle. You will receive a usage discount based on your tier, which will be deducted from your usage bill.
Bring your own Cloud: Your servers are created on your connected cloud provider and you will not be billed for resource usage by PipeOps. You can connect multiple providers and create multiple servers across these providers based on your business needs. Learn more about connecting cloud providers.
Ensuring a smooth transition
Your current subscription remains unaffected, and you will continue to have access as usual until April 20, 2025. During this period, you would not be billed any additional cost, giving you time to explore the new changes and determine what tier best fits your needs.
